Doctor

  • M. DENNIS GRAHAM , D.V.M.

A graduate of Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicne, Dr Graham has  served in the USAF Veterinary Corps, practiced in St Louis, Mo, Rochester, NY,  and Fort Wayne, IN.

He first  established the Pine Valley Veterinary  Clinic in 1979 in a leased space in the Pine Valley Mall;  the clinic was moved to its 2nd location in the spring of 1990.  On 26 December 2007 the move to our current location was completed.

Dr Graham  practices general medicine and surgery, and although not boarded in any specialty has a special interest in canine and feline cardiology.  He has for years attended numerous seminars in that discipline in an attempt to provide current and practical medical advice for both clients and other veterinary colleagues. In addition to physical examination, Dr Graham  routinely examines cardiac patients via electrocardiogram (EKG,)  echocardiography (ultrasound)  thoracic radiographs (chest Xrays), oscillometric blood pressure monitoring  and blood testing.

Since May of 2000,  Dr Graham has been examining cardiac patients via echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) when indicated and requested by owners and/or referring  veterinarians.  He also uses ultrasound for abdominal exams, pregnancy checks, guided needle biopsies and  bacterial cultures, and as an aid  for tumor evaluations.

The Grahams have 4 children, the last still at home with Abigail and Dennis  is 20 year-old daughter Cotter (junior at Purdue University).  Sons Shaun (Ft Wayne) and Brooke (St Louis), and daughter Erika (Detroit) are all married.  Greyhound "Bunny," Chihauhau  "Romeo,"  mutt cat "Oban," and many fish (Koi and goldfish varieties) reside at the Graham domicile.

Dr Graham confesses to be a practicing "Hosta-holic"--actively gardening in the home landscape with as many shade perennials as he can manage (currently exceeding 300 hosta plants alone).  The Grahams' were proud to be one of 8 homes  featured by the Fort Wayne Botannical Conservatory in their annual garden walk on June 21, 2002.

  • MARY P OSBUN

Mary Osbun is our Office Manager and has been employed at the clinic since its inception in July of 1979.  She epitomizes a blend of compassion, dedication, and common knowledge based on a wide experience in  daily practice management and client asssitance in veterinary medicine.
Mary choses to work in a "part-time" capacity most of the time; that does not mean she is regularly unavailable.  A "road warrior" with a life of her own, Mary travels 20,000-30,000 miles yearly to attend shows to exhibit her English Springer Spaniels.  Her success in the show ring has included competing several times in the famed Westminister Dog show in Madison Square Garden, NY, NY.
Mary is an invaluable source of information in locating reputable sources for interested buyers of purebred dogs (not just necessarly for show).  If you take the time to contact Mary about  concerns or problems regarding your pet(s), you will soon realize the depth of her ability to help you choose a plan of action.
